Administrative Reminders
Back to Troop! If you have not yet re-registered for the 2024-25 membership year, please do this quickly. Registration is completed via the myGS system. Photo release forms for 2024-2025 have been updated and added here.
Nuts/Magazines sales will start on 9/18 and end on 10/29.
Families: Make sure you have completed the annual permission slip for each of your Girl Scouts for the new year (Oct 2024-Aug 2025)
Board of Ed Room Reservation Form for 2024-2025 is now posted.
Our SPIRIT WEAR STORE is now open and closes at midnight on October 30th. Check out this link to order your favorite Hillsborough GS apparel. All items will be delivered to Hillsborough free of shipping costs and will be ready for pick up mid to end of November, just in time for the holidays!
Presidential Volunteer Service Award - deadline November 3 - OPEN TO ALL: The Presidential Volunteer Service Award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities and inspires others. Hours are a combination of hours of service performed as a Girl Scout only during the prior Girl Scout year (Oct 1, 2023 - Sept 30, 2024) and includes: Hearts of Service, Take Action/Bronze/Silver/Gold Award, Service to Girl Scouting/Community Service Bar and SU 72 Community Service Award hours. Adult volunteers are eligible as well! Questions can be sent to pamweintraub@gmail.com and the deadline is November 3. Girl Scouts or Adults can complete the form here. Additional info is provided on the form itself. (It is "Girl Scout honor" on your hours!)

SERVICE: Pollinator Garden Fall Shut Down - Monday November 4 - 4:30pm: Help out putting the Pollinator Garden to bed for the winter. Needing 8 strong girls who are willing to get down and dirty to help us shut down the garden. She'll learn great garden-care skills while working together with others to care for a garden that has been thriving under our GS SU72 care for the past 7 years! Sign up closes 11/1. Mary Mother of God Flag Retirement Ceremony - Sunday November 10th - Parish has requested the support of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of Hillsborough to conduct a Flag Retirement Ceremony after their 10:30 am Mass on Sunday November 10th. Five girls are needed (all levels) and you can sign up here.
Take a Hike! - All Levels - Saturday, Nov 16 - There will be two hike events – a shorter hike for our younger Girl Scouts (D/B/J - 10-11:30 AM) and a longer and more challenging hike for our older Girl Scouts (J/C/S/A 1:30-4 PM). BOTH HIKES - SIGN UP IS FULL. This is a Troop or IRG event. Bring your best Girl Scout spirit, strong legs, and a willingness to try new things. Skills learned can be applied to a number of outdoor badges at all levels. Leaders are ENCOURAGED to complete the badge requirements for their level! Details in flyer.
SERVICE: Thanksgiving Give Back Event - All levels - Saturday, Nov 23rd - 2 sessions; 2:30pm - 3:30pm and 4pm - 5pm - Girls will make some Thanksgiving centerpieces for nursing homes. Brownies World of Girls Journey - Sunday, November 24th from 1-4 pm - This is a ‘girl led’ event hosted by Hillsborough’s own Cadette Girl Scouts who are working toward their Leadership in Action Award by presenting the Brownie World of Girls Journey to your Brownie troop! This is a Troop or IRG event - Troops must provide enough chaperones to meet GS ratio for their Brownies. You will complete the journey! Details in flyer.

Family Ramblers Hiking Club: a Council-run special interest group for Girl Scouts and their family members. Ramblers hike on their own as a family, exploring trails and swapping their adventures, resources, and trail reviews. Review the information here Questions?
