When Naomi isn't on the golf course or throwing shot put on the track, she's spending time with friends and family..  These are a few of the things that motivate Naomi's positive outlook on life.  In December 2010, Naomi was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia while in 4th grade. Naomi's prognosis was good, but her journey to full remission was 2 1/2 years long.  Throughout her treatment she kept a positive attitude, always had a smile, and became a true example of courage to everyone she knows.  At the beginning of Naomi's 8th grade year, in September of 2014, after 15 months in remission, she relapsed as Leukemia cells were found in her bone marrow.  After absorbing the initial blow of learning about the relapse, she quickly asked her doctor what needed to be done to get her better.  After 106 weeks of chemotherapy, Naomi officially completed her treatments.  In October of 2017, the beginning of Naomi's junior year in high school, her cancer returned for a third time.  Naomi was devastated by the news but she is a strong fighter and through sprayer and treatment will kick this cancers butt.  Her exact treatment plan is still in the works, but she is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will greatly benefit from a bone marrow transplant.  She continues to surround herself with the most supportive people in her life and gives everyone else hope with her always-positive attitude.
