Hello Girl Scouts of Hillsborough!

GOOD NEWS!!! The Hearts of Service program is back online and working properly.

1) Its automated now.  You’ll receive immediate, real-time confirmation of the information you submit.  No need to wait on staff confirmation, print the email, sign and bring into the shops.

2) Council will track information on the back-end too; just in case.

Here’s the direct link: http://www.gshnj.org/en/events/girl-programs/hearts-of-service.html

You can also find it by searching hearts of service in the toolbar; or by navigating to programs, girl programs, and hearts of service.

For those who may not  yet be familiar with the program; please see the description below.

Hearts of Service

HOS

As an integral part of the Girl Scout Promise, service to others and the community as a whole has always been a part of Girl Scouting.  The  Hearts of Service  program tracks and recognizes service hours that girls at all grade levels perform as Girl Scouts.  This is an optional program and may be completed as an individual or as a troop, though girls individually track their hours and individually earn their Hearts of Service awards.

Here's how it works:

  1. Leaders, parents or girls keep track of all service performed by the girls.  Do not stop recording service hours after a girl earns the required number of hours for her level.  Her record should reflect all of her service time throughout the Girl Scout year so she may continue earning heart segments.
  2. When the required service hours are earned in the membership year use this form to report the hours.
  3. You will receive an email confirmation upon submission, which you may print, sign and bring to any GSHNJ council shop to purchase the recognitions.
