Municipal Building Pollinator Garden

Gold Award Project by Brynne Brieg

On a HOT Sunday morning, Hillsborough Girl Scouts helped out fellow scout and Gold Award candidate Brynne Briegs on the first step of her project - planting a pollinator education garden at the Hillsborough Municipal Building.  The garden is full of plants that attract, feed, and protect pollinators and her goal is to increase the pollinators like bees and butterflies in Hillsborough.  In the past, butterflies migrated through Hillsborough but with all of the development they've lost their natural resting places and have stopped coming.  We can bring them back by putting pollinator-friendly plants into our own gardens!   Watch for more as Brynne completes her project with informational signs and educational seminars on pollinators!
