Troop 60100 - Bronze Award Project

What do you get when you mix ten hard – working Girl Scouts, and a dirty gym? A clean and freshly painted one, of course! Junior Girl Scout Troop #60100 took on the challenge of cleaning, and decorating the Woods Road Elementary School gym, in Hillsborough, New Jersey. The troop spent 9 meetings, over 18 hours, cleaning, painting and designing murals, including the new “Food Plate” on the gym walls.

Once the job was completed, they then had a Health Fair, to which they invited younger troops to participate in. The Health Fair, held in the newly painted gym, was where the Juniors taught the Brownie and Daisy Girl Scouts that attended, indoor and outdoor excises, healthy food choices (and all about the food plate), how to be comfortable in your own body, and personal hygiene.

Junior Troop 60100 enjoyed refreshing the WRS Gym and hosting the Health Fair…they were glad they chose this for their Bronze Award Project!
